Relatif à la période qui a succédé au colonialisme; qui a trait, se rapporte aux caractères, situations hérités de cette période. || L'Afrique postcoloniale. || « L'Afrique francophone apparaît comme un désert où les rares chercheurs coincés dans un carcan postcolonial, ont été absents de tous les grands débats sur l'économie mondiale » (le Monde, 22 juin 1999, p. 2).
